Advent starts Sunday! If you haven’t picked up your Advent Devotional yet, there are still some left in the foyer! If you have kids, there are some wonderful activities built into the book you can do as a family. |

The church is decorated for Christmas, and it looks beautiful! If you would like to take pictures with your family, there is a lovely photo booth in the foyer to take one with! It’s that time of year to send Christmas cards! To help you save on postage, we have a Christmas Card Mailbox set up in the foyer for you to drop off your cards. Plan to check your “mailbox” each week to see if you have mail! If you need a directory to help you with your list, please see Meredith, and she will be happy to provide one for you. |

CHURCH ACTIVITIES IN DECEMBER |
While the Nativity costumes are in the youth building, the LIFT and View Crew classes will join together in the fellowship hall. We will NOT have Sunday School on Dec. 21st because of the breakfast and on Dec. 28th because of the holiday week. Church services will still be at 10:30 AM as usual. |
There are only two more gatherings for the kids and youth in 2025! Kids will not want to miss going shopping at the Dollar Tree on December 10th! Students will meet in the Legacy Room to eat at 6:15 PM and will go in groups to the $ store. |
Our Christmas Service will be on December 21st. We will be having our Cup O’ Cheer breakfast in place of our Discipleship Hour Classes. The kids will be performing during the 10:30 AM service. With Nativity, we will not have a Christmas Eve Service on Dec. 24th. |

If you have not signed up to serve during the Live Nativity event, please contact Meredith Gaskin at 864-878-2324 or plan to sign up on the bulletin insert on Sunday. We still need volunteers to serve as greeters, tour guides, and in several other places. If you are new to PVWC, Meredith will be happy to explain more about the event and how you can serve. We would love to have you! This is a great opportunity to get to know a few folks in the church as you serve together. |

Starting December 1st, Pastor Paul and Father Mark will be diligently working on setting up the Live Nativity event. They will be staking trees, blowing off cobwebs and leaves in the barns, putting up lights, putting out props, and more. If you are available to help, even for just a few hours, it would be greatly appreciated! Please circle N on your connection card on Sunday. You can also contact Meredith at either 864-878-2324 or pickensviewwesleyan@gmail.com, and she will be happy to schedule a time that is convenient for you. |

To help promote the Live Nativity, we are participating in the Pickens and Six Mile Parades. Come on out to cheer us on and help spread the word to those watching the parade around you! |

This year’s homecoming theme was “Welcome Home.” We encouraged our church family to invite people they knew who were looking for a church they could call home and people they could call family. This year’s service, food, and fellowship were over the top! We had 209 people in attendance! |

PVWC Serving the Community Recently, we had two opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. The first was November 6th, serving with Feed The Hungry Child of Pickens County. Our Team of nine (see photo) was able to help pack food that is given out to over 700 kids and teenagers on a weekly basis. Our hope is to be able to do this on a quarterly basis, so be looking forward to the next signup opportunity. Be sure to stop by and see Feed the Hungry Child at the Ministry Tent during this year’s Live Nativity Experience, as they will be our featured ministry partner. |
| Additionally, on November 21st, we had the opportunity to serve at Pickens Elementary School for their Ag Day. Between the Wool Station, the Ag Simulator Station, and the Live Animals Station, we helped different groups of kids (the entire school body by the time it was all over) navigate their way among the three stations. We got to see and interact with almost all of the elementary kids we serve on Wednesdays, who attend PES. They were definitely surprised to see us and some were certainly more excited about it than others, lol. There are many more opportunities to serve there throughout the year, so let us know if you want to be part of the PES Team. |
